Accreditation Decisions for
2023 (posted on 01.07.2023)

 Accreditation decisions for 2023 were taken by MAK.
Out of 121 engineering programs evaluated in the 2022-2023 accreditation cycle,
full term accreditation is granted to 10 programs,
extended accreditation until next general review is granted to 30 programs,
accreditation with interim review is granted to 69 programs,
and no accreditation is given to 20 programs.

A. Bülent Özgüler Became Deputy

founding member of MÜDEK, was elected as the Committee Deputy Chair of Washington Accord
at the IEA General Assembly held in Taichung, Taiwan. We congratulate him for this success and thank him for his contribution to MÜDEK's
international recognition.

MÜDEK 2023 General Assembly was held with 20
MÜDEK members without considering the quorum at the location and time
announced earlier on April 15, 2023 Saturday. As a result of the
elections, Executive Board and Auditing Board were formed for the
2023-2025 term as follows
* Executive Board has held its first meeting right after the General
Assembly meeting to assign the positions within the Board.
** Substitute members were determined according to the number of votes
taken; in case of equal votes they are listed according to alphabetical
order of their last names.
We thank to board members of the previous period for their devoted and
successful service and wish a successful term to newly elected members
of the boards. |

Quality Evaluation and Registration Certificate of MÜDEK for 5 Years

 Higher
Education Quality Council (YÖKAK)
extended the validity of Quality
Evaluation and Registration
Certificate of MÜDEK for a period of 5 Years starting from February
1, 2023 in
its General Assembly meeting on January 22, 2023. This certificate had
been issued to MÜDEK first time in 2007 by the Higher Education Council
(YÖK) of
Turkey for 5 years and it was re-issued by YÖK again for
another 5 years in 2013 and 2018. Thus has been extended once again for
5 years in 2023. Click here

Müfit
Gülgeç Became TMMOB Representative at MAK (posted on 17.03.2023)

Müfit
Gülgeç was appointed as TMMOB’s Representative at MAK, which was
vacated due to Mehmet Soğancı filling his term, upon the proposal of
TMMOB. Müfit Gülgeç will continue this duty until 31.12.2024.

MÜDEK Training for Institution Representatives (posted on 08.03.2023)

MÜDEK
Training will be held in April 2023 for administrators and faculty
members responsible for engineering undergraduate programs planning to
apply for MÜDEK evaluation or to make improvements in their programs
according to MÜDEK criteria.
The training will be carried out in two parts in a virtual
environment. The first part will be held asynchronously on Google
Classroom and will be available to participants as of April
10,
2023. The second part of the training will be held on
Saturday April
29, 2023 in video-conference format via Zoom.
Pre-registration for the first part of the training is required by
April 10, 2023 at the latest.
