Amendments made in the General Assembly held on March 19, 2011
  • Article 3(a) is amended as follows:

    Previous:

3(a) Identifying engineering programs that meet minimal evaluation criteria in order to inform society, future students, student counselors, parents and legal guardians of students, educational institutions, professional societies, prospective employers, and public organizations,

    Amended:

3(a) Identifying engineering programs that meet minimal evaluation criteria in order to inform society, students, future students, student counselors, parents and legal guardians of students, educational institutions, professional societies, prospective employers, and public organizations,

    Intention:

To further include students as a very important constituent of the programs to this article, in which the identification of those engineering programs satisfying the minimum evaluation criteria for informing the stakeholders of the programs is referred to.

  • Article 4.3(d) is amended as follows:

    Previous:

4.3(d) MAK members should have served as an evaluator or co-evaluator on a minimum of two (2) site-visit teams of MÜDEK, or in similar domestic or international organizations evaluating engineering programs.

    Amended:

4.3(d) MAK members, except representatives of TMMOB and KalDer, should have served as an evaluator or co-evaluator on a minimum of two (2) site-visit teams of MÜDEK, or in similar domestic or international organizations evaluating engineering programs.

    Intention:

Since the practice in the past years has shown that some serious difficulties would potentially be experienced for the representative candidates of TMMOB and KalDer in MAK in satisfying the condition that they should have served as an evaluator or co-evaluator on a minimum of two (2) site-visit teams of MÜDEK, or in similar domestic or international organizations evaluating engineering programs, it is aimed to exclude the representatives of these two institutions from this condition.

  • Following Article 17 is added:

  • Article 17

The chair of the Executive Board executes the provisions of this directive.

    Intention:

To add a missing responsibility article in the regulation which is common in all MÜDEK directives.

  • Following provisional articles are cancelled:

  • Provisional Article 1

The terms described in article 4.3 (d) of these regulations for TMMOB and KalDer representatives will come into effect as of the beginning of the year 2011; before 2011, article 4.3 (d) serves only as a recommendation.

    Provisional Article 2

The restrictions described in articles 4.3 (e) and (f) of these regulations shall come into effect as of the beginning of the year 2011; before 2011, such articles serve only as recommendation.

    Intention:

To let the regulation free from these two provisional articles whose validity period was ended, hence their applications starting from the beginning of 2011 have become impossible.

  • Some editorial amendments are made in the following articles:

  • Article 1, 2(d), 4, 4.2(a), 4.3(d), 4.4(b), 4.4(d), 4.5(b), 4.5(f), 4.5(g), 4.7(b), 4.7(c), 4.7(d), 5.2(a), 5.2(f), 5.2(g), 5.3(a), 6, 7(a), 8(b), 8(c), 8(e), 9(c), 9(g), 10(a), 10(b), 10(c), 11(b), 11(c), 12.1(a), 12.1(b), 14(c), 15(a)
