Program evaluators conduct their evaluations on entirely voluntary basis. The evaluation process involves the examination of a self-study report prepared by the program reviewed, a visit to the institution, and leadership role in making the accreditation decision. Program evaluators involving accreditation process serve a important social responsibility duty by contributing to the quality improvement studies in engineering education. A total of 330 program evaluators from universities and industry/business world served in MÜDEK accreditation evaluations and 604 program evaluations were conducted up until 2016. The contributions of new volunteers are needed in order to meet ever increasing accreditation demands. It is desired for those evaluator candidates from academia to have experience in assessment, continuous improvement, and preparation for accreditation of engineering programs in accredited programs at national and/or international level, and from industry/business world to have experience in at least one of the following areas: Engineering education, engineering management, and quality processes. In the following evaluation cycle, evaluator applications are encouraged in all engineering disciplines, especially in the areas of Computer Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Electrical-Electronics Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, and Civil Engineering.
