Dr. Erbil Payzın, Chair of the MÜDEK Executive Board, made a presentation on MÜDEK's activities within 10 years.

In his speech, Prof. Dr. Muhittin Şimşek mentioned that the Quality Assurance in Higher Education topic will have an important place in the new higher education law under the process of preparation. In his speech, Mehmet Soğancı emphasized on the importance of MÜDEK accreditation of engineering programs, at least their application  to evaluation process for this purpose.

In the mini seminar of this activity, 4 panelists presented their views from 4 different perspectives on MÜDEK and Accreditation in Engineering Education.

Prof. Dr. Yıldırım Üçtuğ, first Secretary General of Engineering Deans Council (MDK) and currently the President of İstanbul Kemerburgaz University, presented a short story of MDK's emergence and establishment of MÜDEK by MDK.

Prof. Dr. Tuncay Döğeroğlu, Dean of Engineering of Anadolu University, member of MDK Executive Board, and member of GEDC (Global Engineering Deans's Council) Executive Board, spoke on the "Effect of MÜDEK Accreditation on the Quality of Engineering Education". In her speech, Prof. Döğeroğlu mentioned about the effect of MÜDEK accreditation on the quality improvement activities in her institution as well as its effect on the engineering education in Turkey as a point of view of a member of MDK Executive Board and how MÜDEK is seen from abroad the country as a point of view of a member of GEDC Executive Board. İffet İyigün Meydanlı, Director of Innovation and System Development of Arçelik A.Ş. R&D Center, delivered a presentation titled "Importance of Accreditation of Engineering Education Programs for Industry". In her speech, İffet İyigün Meydanlı emphasized on how the attributes of engineers sought by business world overlaps with MÜDEK's program outcomes by giving examples.

Prof. Dr. Sermin Örnektekin, Chair of FEDEK Executive Board, delivered a speech titled "Accreditation Activities of Educational Programs of Science, Literature, Science-Literature, Languages and History-Geography Faculties". In her speech, Prof. Örnektekin talked about FEDEK's establishment process and its current activities and mentioned about the support given by MÜDEK during FEDEK's establishment phase. 		After mini seminar, appreciation plaquets were presented to MÜDEK volunteers with five or more program evaluations by Prof. Dr. Yıldırım Üçtuğ. (List of volunteers received plaquets)

The meeting was ended with a short cocktail party.
